Found patches of POW between areas of inch thick ice or areas of 1 to 5 in tall ice-droppings from the trees at Mt B just a couple of weeks after heavy rain.  Dense and GLAZED, m-m-m like skiing a Krispy Kreme.  Had to work really hard to make the turns.  Jump and bash-carve and voila; full areobics!  Pow was on northern slopes, ice must have sublimated to ski-able; barely.  First PIC is right after the freezing rain; the lift top station was un-recognizable- from their web-site.  Went back for more on Sunday.  Better than hitting the icey groomers=barely.  Ive skiied untracked Coke bottles at Mt B before.  And Untracked spring party ice at Timb and Mt Hood where the cubes clatter along with you in 3D stereo as you go along; worth-while.  But never glazed firm old pow.  Needed a pair of 153s for this heavy Pow. Really sick; but I just don't do groomers !  Check the sheen. At least it was not crowded !
