Wife Lisa and I did 2 days of lifts here with friends. Dramatic inversion up there! It hovered below freezing in the village most of the time, but was up to 51 Deg. (11 Celsius?) at the summit. Peak Chair was closed due to avy, as was Blackcomb Glacier and some other areas, but there was tons of acreage left for us.
Harmony Express just opened on Sat., so there was a bit of fresh left by the time I discovered it. Thanks to Matt from Seattle for shoing me the T-Bar goods.
Sunday we did Blackcomb: very warm, lots of sun, semi-soft bumps, ripping groomers on hardpan, etc. The only bad run was on &th Heaven Express, which gets so much sun that rocks are everywhere.
Great area, humongous with all kinds of options. the high alpine is beautiful. I hope to get back with some freshies to jump on.
