January 19, 2009 Alpental / Summit West

Arrived @ 9am to fog. 20 degrees or so.
Bright warm sun at top of chair 1 greeted by warm airflow. Felt like getting off of an airline in a tropical place.

Chair 2 opened at 10am. Still icy in Edelweiss Bowl, Upper Int'l closed.
Had lunch, still cold below. Groomers were pretty good all day. Nobody hit the Cascade Traverse so upper sessel was great corduroy.

Went back to Edelweiss Bowl after it had a chance to warm up and the snow was good, but the moguls were darn big. Just need a little bit more snow, like 20'

Went to Summit West for a change since I had only been there once before. Total fog as well. Tasty groomers though.

I like the first picture. The fog puts perspective on everything. Very cool. Thanks for sharing.
