Came up with family went out to Northway and checked South BC still a few bushes sticking up manged to find a couple feet of unconsolidated in places. Beautiful morning clear and crisp started lightly snowing in PM. hardlly anyone here. Drive was easy. Should be deep tomorrow.

First day of the year for Steve and myself (if you don't count various urban adventures). Also my first time in the Northway territory. On the whole it was very fine with only moderate sun or warmup damage to the snow. Road perfect, deserted/ Should be great with some fresh.

Close to a foot of new power in Northway area Was sunny above k in morning great day. Ridgetops had wind slab forming.
