November 23, 2008 Mt. Rainier, Muir Snowfield

What a fantastic day on the Muir Snowfield. There were lots of folks up there, and with good reason. There was hardly even a breeze and sunny all day. There's about four or five inches of new snow over crust. It was really nice to be able to put on skins from the parking lot as well with just a few tough spots to navigate though on the way up. Too bad the new visitors center isn't open just a little longer. It would have been nice to hang out with folks in the new lounge. Still.... Great day.
