Skiied Snowbasin on St. Patty';s Day......man that place is sweet. Some deep pow leftovers in the sidecountry made for a great intro to the area with minnimal hiking. Huge place all around complete with granite bathrooms and mdmountain espresso stands. Alta yesterday was great. skiied in bounds most of the morning and afternoon, Castle Apron, Castle bowl, lower Baldy chutes and east Greely chutes/bowl were all soft spring snow with about 15 inches of powder in the shade. Headed out of bounds for the afternoon and ridge-ran all the way from Catherines area to Silver Fork, beautiful ridge tour with views (working on pics). Though I'd update those of you headed this way soon. Back in WA on Sunday, sounds like our snowpack is still bomber...woohoo!
