I'm super disappointed in Crystal. Management worse than withheld information from the customer but posted grooming reports stating that Chair 6 and Northway were under evaluation. The patroller that Scotty and I spoke with told us that they had made the call not to open two and a half hours prior (an hour before the chairs started loading). Still no disclosure of the limited operations at the ticket window. One hundred yards after a full price ticket, the customer is informed via dry erase board of the closures.
I simply requested a voucher as I would not have gotten a ticket had I been made aware. I was not only refused but insulted and belittled.
Bullshit.
This is why there are threads about why Crystal sucks and no mention of other resorts. Sure they have terrain and snow but they can not take credit for that, only for how well they service it. Fortunately, I do not need to pay to ski the great terrain surrounding them.
I, for one, will not spend $ at Crystal until they clean up their act.
It's really a shame and goes back to what I've said many times, taken a bunch of crap about and had posts deleted about. They're not customer service oriented! Proof's in the proverbial pudding. Snow Bell is not whining, it's crappy customer relations and they just don't seem to care. Serious bummer as we all really want to love going there, but it's hard when you get treated like that. They just don't get it. Hope thats not a disrespectful statement.

Overall I have had good experiences at Crystal too, but I think that Snow Bell's experience points to a lack of consistency in Crystal's delivery of customer service. IMHO this probably is the result of a lack of communication between management and employee as to what Crystal's customer service policy is all about. That "customer service representative" should have been able to identify the problem and provide a solution on the spot that benefitted both customer and Crystal. I'm not saying give a free lift ticket out to every yahoo who's having a bad hair day, but clearly the circumstances in this case point to a breakdown in clearly communicating conditions for the day.
