A much better than expected day. Skied the Northway lift all day. There was maybe an inch of new, two inches in some places. The snow was cooperative- it always held an edge and even yielded a few powder stashes. No serious ice, no slush, no death crust. The terrain was pleasantly steep , and the moguls- well- I happen to love tele-moguls. It's sort of nature's way of telling you to turn where you need to, not where you want to. What's wrong with that?
Was it epic? I was in the mountains having fun. Isn't that epic by definition?

Epic would NOT be described by one or two inches on a variety of crusts. Maybe the end of January/early Feb was, but not now. Sorry.

OK. There is epic and there is EPIC. I have fun in the crappiest of snow. If I can link turns in breakable crust that is epic. I guess I'm easily entertained.

Some friends of mine went skiing on Monday the 25th... said they went pow skiing through the trees in North.   Hearsay... I would have to be there to vouch for it.

But... one of my friends is buying some Guns from the Crystal Demo Shop.  It is time to consider that if you're into buying demo skis.  He will pick up his Guns on this Thursday.

I agree with you about having having a good time if you can link turns in the crappiest of snow. I'm someone who if I find one good turn on a horrible snow day, I'd call it a good day and be excited. I was also skiing Northway on Mon. 25th and YES, there was powder skiing. Everything facing north was great actually, even far skiers right on High Campbell.
