Thursday - Sunshine, blue sky, mixed with overcast, cold crispy groomer day.
Everything was groomed! Cmac very lightly bumped. Cold but not frozen.
However, the smooth run down Iceberg was a mix of cold creamy sluff and boiler plate. So, had to be a little carefull not to wipe out on an ice patch.
About 25 mph winds on the rim from the North so as to blow one down off the top of Iceberg.
I was thinking there was powder to be found somewhere, off groom, between the trees. There was a little, however, I got reports that Sunnyside and some other places had rough ice chunks under the top layer of snow.
Some folks talked about how skiing down from chair six was good about half way down and not so good on the lower half. So, it didn't seem all that great off groom. Maybe it would be better on north facing slopes, like Powder Bowl. But I didn't ski it to be able to tell.
So, I mostly enjoyed cruising Green Valley Bowl, Lucky Shot, North Face, the one run down Ice Berg. Snorting Elk Bowl was good.
Had lunch at Summit House. Amazing they can't put out some ski racks there. I had the garlic shrimp with some hot bread - very good! I noticed they had several picnic tables behind Summit House... wonder what they have in mind?
All in all... with the sun breaking out in the morning and late afternoon, it was a great cruising day. Decent resort skiing. Kind of miss all that pow.

Ski racks?
What next a valet to click them off for you.
Click out, click in, leave on the snow. Slim chance they will walk.
Glad you had a good day.

Jill and I met some friends and also enjoyed the sun and cruising the groomers. We also had a pleasant Valentines Day lunch at the Summit Restaurant. Off piste could be described as "dust on a variable crust".

Yep - a great Valentines day ski for sure.
I also was in the Summit House for lunch - should have yelled out "Turns-All-Year!" to identify Zap and Larry!
We took one hike out to the King - very nice "settled" powder in the A basin trees.
