Wow - an unexpected prize!
After the wind closure Feb 7th and 2 inches overnight expectations were not that high. The first quick run down to Green Valley in 15 inches+ of soft tracked powder quickly put that to rest. No evidence of wind damage anywhere. Epic face shot runs were had all day as we methodically worked the terrain openings - Exterminator, Left/Right Angle, Brand X, Hamburger Hill, Throne Chutes. Steady snowfall all day provided free refills with a dissipating crowd. In the trees days of snowfall had sifted in waist deep velvet without wind or sun damage. 32k feet of some of the best powder the NW has to offer (with nary a groomer) put smiles on the face and lactic acid in the quads!
On these rare days Crystal indeed rocks. Leaving Lot B was a complete anarchist comedy, with 15 inches of unplowed snow everywhere and no parking control. Spun-out trucks and downed trees made for an epic post-script drive on the snowiest highway 410 this writer has yet seen.
