Feb 2-4, 2008 - Whistler Blackcomb

Andy, Todd and I headed up north for a mini-ski vacation in Canada with this being Andy and Todd's first trip to Whistler.  The weather was beautiful sunny with about 10 inches of fresh when we arrived (it was nice to see the sun after not for so long:))  The first day we spent mostly on Blackcomb and rode the Glacier Express and Jersey Cream chairs, with a lot of runs off of Spanky's ladder.  Good stuff with some nice double blacks and steeps - things we don't get down here in Oregon as much.  Below is Todd on the backside of Blackcomb....

The next day was spent mostly on Whistler, though we did some riding on Blackcomb as well. Most of our time was on the Peak and Harmony chairs, though we did venture out to the new Symphony express. Definitely less people on the weekdays than on the weekends.  One of the nice things about Whistler is that the girls (wives) were able to find plenty to do at the village and had a good time on the trip as well w/o having to go skiing.

Of course as soon as we left, it started dumping again.  Next time I'd like to go for a whole week (and am hoping the dollar gets stronger)!  Here's a few scenery pics...... Still haven't figured out how to make the thumbnails big when I post them ???
