January 28 - Alta, Utah

A quick dash to Salt Lake City to catch a Wasatch storm cycle resulted in an epic day at Alta. Shortly after the ski bus rolled up to the Goldminer's Daughter, Little Cottonwood canyon was closed and remained so all day. Hence a "Country Club" day with minimal skiers. 6 inches overnight, 11 more during the day with temperatures falling to the single digits made for endless face shots all day off the Collins chair. I can't claim credit for the photo, but it was taken in the Wasatch the same day, under similar conditions.
Also skied Snowbird, Snowbasin and Solitude - all excellent but nothing beats an Alta powder day!
