I was there as well. High Campbell below the throne was soft and deep. Other aspects had some crust below the freshies, but it was overall fabulous. I agree so much with Zap, somedays you get the goods when you least expect it. We were all joking that it was the best 1" of new we'd ever skiied.
By the way, south opened at about 1:45, I almost cried it was so deep and light.

Yesterday (Tuesday) was great at Crystal and it didn't look like they were going to open High Cambel or Northway but Northway did open at 1:30. (as skifish just posted)
After fist tracks under Rex, Exterminator and in Bear Pits, my buddy and I were approaching exhaustion. When we got wind that the North Back was to open, we were suddenly rejuvenated. It was my first time on that chair and what an introduction. No lines, only riders on 1 in 4 chairs. Lots of good quality snow. I hit it as hard as I could until my last ride up at 2:55. I can understand why some of the locals resent the installation of the lift but as an infrequent guest, I love it.

High Campbell and Southback were closed today so imagine how good it will be tomorrow.

Wed (Jan 30) was off the hook. So much was open and so much snow it was hard to decide what to ski first. Thanks to the hard working patrollers that were out there tossing charges to help us get to the goods.
