Thursday - Sunshine, blue sky... and cold, but not iced. Moderate attendance
A great groomer-carving day. Everything was groomed, 'cept cmac was bumped. It was cold enough that my fingertips and toes got a little cool. The cold is doing a nice job of preserving the snowpack.
Chinook Lift lost electric power right at lunch... back in action after a few beers at the Elk. High Campbell was closed... don't know why... high winds? Green Valley rim had about 30mph breeze.
Some loose death cookies and chicken heads... not nailed down. However, late in the day I think I bumped a death cookie that was sticking.
I ski four full layers on bottom and two on top with a fleece lined jacket - adequate. One of my buddies went back down to add a bottom layer. I am a total wus... wear a full head sock under my helmet - otherwise that 30mph rim wind would have ripped my face off at that temp.
Just spent the day cruising and having fun with friends... Probably set a few land speed records.
