It was another wonderful powder day. The drive up was crowded even with our 7:15am departure from Monroe. Numerous tree branches littered the west lane between Index and Skykomish which caused a couple of accidents. Although the area reported only 6" new, we found the treed terrain seemed to have knee deep powder. It snowed lightly most of the day. The backside never had a line over 20 folks which provided quick turn times. The runs to the road have excellent coverage. The only bad part of the day was the drive back west. There was an auto fatality which affected traffic flow for quite a few hours. The conditions were almost identical to those we experienced on the 26th. The forecast for Sunday is very encouraging for another powder event.
