December 27 Alpental was created by Teleskichica
Spent two hours at Alpental this morning. I don't have all the technical jargon for describing the snow, but I can say, there is lots of it:
Chris Cass
Skied International and Shot Six which was pretty choppy--so more of a mental challenge to go through it--but light, fluffy and very deep.

Went last night and surprised to see not too many people on the hill. It was cold, about 21 when we left and snowing. Saw some guys camping out in the parking lot with a firepit. Getting the goods for the morning I'm sure.

I was there last night with Jason. The skiing was great--powder stashes all over--and even a face shot or two. But what was up with the freezing rain?

That was wierd. One minute it was snowing with a sight wind at the top then next run blowing, freezing rain that made my jacket stiff. Thats Northwest riding.
