The telemetry numbers at 6am indicated the backside received 8" new since closing at 3pm. Plus by this mornings opening they received an additional 4" and during the day another 5" of low temperature powder. The drive up was interesting but Pete in his 4wd wagon passed everyone that hindered his race to the front lot. We were on chair #7 when they opened early at 8:45am. Then the races began. It was enjoyable skiing with my young ski buddies as the testosterone engulfed our chair rides. I finally headed to my favorite lines and the young guys were in earshot of my radio. We ate powder in the stashes until the backside closed at 3pm. No one stopped for a break and we ate lunch on the chair rides. It was an incredible powder day that ended with a descent out the back to the road. I'm eating ibuprofen and hitting the hot tub. Telemon, I'll be at Stevens on Friday for the next storm cycle. I'll be on the first chairs on Big Chief. I'll look for you. I'll be wearing a blue jacket, gray pants and a steel blue pack.
