Bringing up the next generation at Alpental

Spent the day investing in the future teaching my kids to ski at Alpental. The trip was an all around success with pleas to come back very soon--music to my ears. Thanks to the consumerism habits of the season, I think the masses were kept at bay and it really felt like we had the hill to ourselves.
(Okay, kind of an exaggeration but considering its a holiday weekend . . .)
I spent the day on St. Bernard, while Chris Cass generously donated some of his time to take my son up the quad after lunch. It snowed heavily since 8am and at 3pm I had to "dig" the car out from under 5 inches of accumulated new snow--All very light and fluffy! No steeps and no deeps for me but lots of smiles made for a five star day.
(I'd post pics, but I can't seem to download them from my camera--so unless I become a technical genius in the next 24 hours, that's all for now.)

Just to add to the kid stoke, and I know it isn't Alpental, but I think my youngest got bragging rights to being the first seven-year-old on Northway chair Saturday (I realize some will feel that's a mixed blessing at best) when I took all three guys over there shortly after the ropes dropped.

Skiing with the kids is pretty dang fun.
