December 2, 2007 - Hoodoo Pow Fest, OR

Got a late start and made it up to Hoodoo where to my suprise there was about 18 inches of powder from the last couple of days. Only one lift operating, but who cares when nobody's around. Face shots were had all day, and while it snowed hard all day, the wind was light. It's supposed to rain tomorrow, but next weekend may be good. It was definitley worth the trip up today.

I was up there yesterday and Saturday as well -- awesome conditions. I was really surprised at the coverage. I hit a few things, but basically the trees and little drops could be done with little fear. I booted up Willamette on Friday and that was MUCH thinner. We did get a few quality runs in front side, but they were risky.

I'm sorry I missed you - it would have been fun to connect and make a few runs together. I heard Willamette was pretty thin. It'll be awhile before they open, especially with all this rain...
