Baker opening day zoo

tons of people up there, definitely a weekend size crowd. Snow was pretty good, coverage was ok for early season and the weather was nice. I was wishing i brought the dog and bc gear though, was probably much nicer outside the ski area.

Heading there tomorrow. Any snow left? Powder skis or all mt.? Anyone else going?

I'll be there with three more guys.  Looking forward to a nice day, and happy to be able to start the ski season in November once more.

if you are going to be in the ski area, i would probably bring the all mtn. skis. the powder was had by about 9:30 this morning in typical baker fashion.

i think i will take the dog up tomorrow and just have a mellow day skinning around.

Our gang of five had a great opening day at Baker. The crowds were bad in the morning but by the afternoon the place had totally emptied out. There were fresh lines to be had all day long with a little hiking off of Austin and on the west side of Pan.
