Whistler B.C. April 18th-23rd was created by Bandit
The Sea to Sky Highway is coming along nice. Two lanes each way in some spots. Not too many delays. Makes for some sweet driving.
Skiied on the Whistler side. The new Piccolo Chair has some nice terrain. So much area too cover. The upper mountain is still holding some fantastic snow. With off and on snow flurries, Blackcomb should be good for a while. (Whistler is now closed.)
The Cirque had a warning sign posted by Ski Patrol. " Mandatory 20' cornice drop on to hardpack or straightline entry. Double black, experts only"!! It did look hairy. Opted for the Couloir. Looked like a better entry, but bailed. Felt intimidated this time.
Skiied mostly The Peak Chair. Had to do The Peak to Creek run a couple of times to make the legs burn.
8,000 acres and a planned gondola to connect the two mountains. Holly cow!! :
The Shell vouchers are good until June 3.
