Without a doubt the best spring day yet. Cold and drifty low clouds at 9am, PERFECT cord groomers, Lucky Shot, GV, and the run formerly know as IceBerg buffed to perfection. Lap after lap of stupid fast cruisers. Around 10 the commuter skiers showed up, had to slow down a bit. Off the groom was variable at best, pockets of fluff hiding HUGE frozen chunks. Dropped into Powder Bowl, 1st four turns were butter, rest tuned to survival skiing. Same for Grubstake Peak. North Back opened for about an hour, rumor mill said something slid. Can't wait for tomorrow, thaw freeze cycle should loosen up the chunks, maybe get South Back opened up. 2 weeks, 4 days until North Back change for ever.
