Crystal Mt. 3/22/2007 was created by Bandit
Started out sunny. Softened up the south facing slopes, while the north facing stayed cool and powdery.

You had the best of both worlds. Depending on what kind of snow you prefer, it was there.

South facing gave you mashed potatoes, sticky pancake batter, put the peddle to the metal to get through it.

North facing gave you buttery smooth, dry, wind buffed creme brule'.

Great skiing overall.

On the way home KIRO, Walter Kelley said more snow for next week!!!!!!!!!!

Bandit - Where were you when that thick fog rolled in at the end of the day?

Looks like we were writing reports at the same time.  I should have gone back and checked before pulling the trigger.

We cycled all the lower runs before going up the Rex.  I was afraid it would be icey up there, but we had to check it out.  Surprisingly, we found it pretty good.  I was wondering why there were so many people on Bear Pits, but just a couple on Powder Bowl if you have any idea?

I tried my best to track up any untouched snow, but there was just too much and I have not gotten up real high because I stick with my group.  So I hope you got up there.

The Bear Pit was the place to be if you were riding with the young guns of The Silver King Freeride Comp. They were warming up for the next three days of competition.

It was fun watching them. There are some really good skiiers up there right now.
