After the big dumpage in the cascades all week followed it north for the powder friday at 49 with about 10" in the trees and 6 to 8 on the slopes, even though it was a snow day for all the schoolers in the region i managed to ski untracked lines in the trees all day long right up to happy hour. the bar at 49 is one of the coolest i have ever had the pleasure of throwing a few back in, it takes one back in a time warp to a ski bar in the 60's with its ambiance and atmosphere.
QUESTION: DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY TOURING EXPERIENCE FROM THE RESORT?
off the cat track from chair 4 skiers left i hopped over the ridge and followed some tracks part way down before i had to head back towards the cat track as i was skiing with my resort skis, but it looked like it would be very good if its easy enough to get back to the resort or down to the road.
