What a day at Crystal!
Cold (in the teens), blue sky, and powder.
As I was booting up Northway Peak on my second run, Ken from Sturdevants caught up with me and we partnered up and headed over to Paradise Bowl in the Northback where I put in today's first tracks. Light, thigh deep powder.
We then teamed up with John and Christina, Steve, and Brian and headed over to the Northback again and did Brand X. Though the snow was cut up and chopped below, it was light and still powder. The shuttle back was totally full-as in a couple people couldn't even get on.
After a run off Campbell, I booted up Northway peak twice and caught freshies down the Snorting Elk.
About this time the Southback had just opened and I headed over and hooked up with Shelby and we booted it and found deep powder skiing down Avanlanche Basin.
After that the Campbell Basin was starting to get icy, choppy, and somewhat unpleasant so I headed to the trees in the Southback that run into Snow Garden trail.
The limited time I spent on the groomers today boasted buttery, wonderful snow.
One of the best days of the year.

Thursday, another awesome day at Crystal. Six new inches. Foggy up top so I stayed mid mountain most of the day still finding lots of powder in the south back behind the campbell chair and above Snow Garden.
Then went up gold hills, slipped behind the cottages, did a gnarly traverse through the trees to arrive at the untracked, couple of foot deep pow that provided 150 yards of heavenly floating and skiing.
Again, cold temps and great snow today. When I left at 2 the snow was starting up again.
Powder to the people, right arm!
