Well....  Thursday.... went up with a ski bus group.   They sat in the lodge most of the day while me and another guy skied.  I have a midweek season pass and they all didn't want to pay for lift tickets while it was raining.

So, raining at the base during the morning hours.  Got soaked riding up Chinook and halfway up the Rex.  Rain turned to freezing rain/ice/snow... stuff  3/4 way up Rex.  Actually snowed on the GV Rim winds 25 - 30 mph.  Did Luckyshot... ok.  Got grabby at the bottom of Luckyshot.

Decided that things were better on well groomed runs so went over to Queens. Not bad - grabby if skiing off to the side off groom.   Later, less precip... started drying out.  Pulled out some nice runs.  Burn, Rolling Knolls were good.

The surprise was a good run down Lower Bull Run.  I thought it would be slushy but by the time I got there the wind had started drying out the snow.  I wanted to keep skiing but my ski lodge buddies wanted to leave about 2:00 pm.

Point is you can find skiing if you look for it, find the good spots, and wait out the precip.  Helps to have a season pass so as not to worry about getting your money's worth....
