Crystal Mt. Feb 8, 2007 was created by Bandit
I was hesitant to go, knowing no new snow (1/2" on top), had fallen for a while. Cabin fever was setting in so I thought, what the heck , I'll give it a shot and see what happens. Boy, I'm glad I did.
Snow conditions were what I would call sweet sugar on top of creme brulee on mountain top. Buttermilk and flour on the bottom of the mountain.
The 1/2" on top of softening crust made for some pleasant turns. Smooth, buttery, flowing turns.
Occasional icy spots were found in the center of the groomers. Just stay off to the side and you'll get as much sugar as you can handle.
Probably every kind of snow condition could be found. Ski Patrol were marking sluffs and small crevasses being exposed from the recent melt out.
More snow is on the way. It's not over yet!!

Thanks... I haven't been up for two weeks and was wondering what it was like up there.
