After having Thursday turn out, unexpectedly, to be one of the best days of the year, I had very high hopes for saturday. When the forecast changed from predicting 10-18" to predicting 18-30", those hopes were sky high. As it turns out, Alpental today exceeded all expectations. The weather was beautiful, the snow deep and light, the company enjoyable. All that was missing was power. But thanks to some quick thinking on Anthony's part, we managed to session the best turns around and be back in Seattle in time to watch both football games (if only I had a TV on which to watch them).
You, dear friends and computer owners, however, may watch enviously as my friends and I shred the best turns on the mountain. Oh how very very sick it was.
