It started snowing lightly at Mt. Baker Ski Area today. With cold temps and a strong southern wind, the bumps and gouges were filled in and a chalky layer created that loved a ski's edge and allowed for the skier to pick their own turns. Icy bits existed here and there, but it was a great day of in-bounds and on-piste skiing. It was still snowing when I left, and I'm excited to see what tomorrow brings.

The low clouds, snowfall, and blowing snow limited visibility to aproximately 0.25 miles and about 500' elevation. I'm also interested in the formation of wind slabs on north aspects. If conditions allow tomorrow I'll head into the backcountry to see how things have developed.
