Stevens Pass 12/12

With new snow falling overnight I was looking forward to good day of skiing. Hooked up with a couple locals and explored the varying conditions all over the mountain. There was at least a foot of heavy new snow. Good for snowboarding and fat boards, but rather difficult on the teles initially. As the day wore on and the area was skiied up a bit the conditions actually really improved. Soft tacky snow everywhere. The snow at the top of Seventh Heaven was quite nice, but as you descended a couple hundred feet the consistency changed quickly.

Overall a great day. High winds and more snow in the coming days should provide for unpredicatable turns.

I was up there too, so glad I went yesterday than getting disappointed like some were today. Fresh tracks all day in big chief bowl if you were willing to risk the very rare hidden rocks (I found two, but was lapping there all day).

I did see some really nice tele form a couple times from the lift. Maybe it was you
