Thursday.  Pretty good day skiing.

Blue sky and sunshine.  Grooming, good for carvers.  Temp changes thru the day, warm then colder about 2:00, so just as snow was getting soft, it started freezing.  Brown spots and potholes are starting to show up in some areas.  A pothole on Rolling Knolls.  Brown Spots on steeper runs.  Brown spots on the Snorting Elk Bowl cat track. So need more snow by the weekend.

Lucky Shot had nice loose snow on it.

Skiiing off groom was more difficult because of the softening and re-freezing of the snow.  I am sure some areas had protected snow that stayed in original state, I just didn't go looking for it.   There were guys making some nice runs down Powder Bowl.  So, that must have stayed a little loose.

Light crowd, we got to park in lot A after arriving at 9:30.  At 3:00 pm we were lonely on the slopes.

Seems to me that snow has a life of about a week or less without refreshing.  Crystal has been getting 2 inch freshenings since the previous week's dumps.  That just keeps it skiable, but it could be better.  Maybe I am just spoiled after the deep snow of last year and the last two weeks of November.
