Alpental opening day 12/2

Opening day at alpy was the best we've had in years, a little late but worth the wait. We kept expectations low so were overjoyed to see chair 2 running though not loading on first chair up at 8:30am. After one lap on the bottom we hung out in chair 2 line for maybe 20-30 mins before the green light came and it started loading. Showboating galore entertained on the first lift up. We weren't bummed too much to see Nash closed (low expectations) so got a couple laps through early stashes before heading in for beer and snacks during peak time. Lots of impatient folks headed home and are better off not knowing that the front-side opened hmmm somewhere around 11:30. That's when the day really started Conditions were incredible, thanks to cold temps this week. We got two laps through over to knoll 2. Everything was stable and sweet through the inner-back. It's so satisfying be back in the terrain that's haunted my dreams again for the last 6 months.
