Spring skiing conditions on Friday. Cloudy in the early morning, but clouds thinned around 10:30 and the south-facing backside started to cook. It was well-done mush by noon. In the afternoon, the sun came out and it warmed up more. Even the north-facing stuff got soft. There was about 2" of new, heavy snow on the mountain, and it sloughed easily on steep terrain.

According to a friend, the 6" reported was fully accurate and it was a good day up there today (sat). I'm not sure how crusty things are underneath on the north faces, but it's entirely possible that it won't be that hard underneath.

See ya in the BC tomorrow.
