January 8th, 2005, Vallee Blanche, Chamonix, FR

We decided to end Greg and Kam's Europe trip with a scenic day by skiing the Vallee Blanche. It is THE classic in Chamonix, though Christian took us some alternate route to make things a little more interesting.<br><br>In the morning Greg, Christian and I skied a few runs under the mid station of the aiguille du Midi. Kam preferred to stay home and discuss the advantages of fixed heel skiing with his buddy Luca. <br><br>In the afternoon we all met up to go up to the Aiguille du Midi and hiked down the snow ridge to the point where we could comfortably put the skis on. <br>Greg with the Dent du Geant in the back<br> <br><br>Here are a few more pictures:<br><br> Greg and Corinne navigating through the crevasses <br> Christian and Kam <br> A little further down in the vallee <br>

<br><br>Yeah, maybe you are right, maybe Luca told Kam about fixed heel skiing and Kam taught Luca some robot tricks in exchange

Nice! Hard to go wrong with the exceptionally scenic photographic opportunities around there on a clear day Skiing the Vallee Blanche was definitely the highlight of my first trip to Chamonix...<br><br>
