12F -- cold! They were only running the quad and beginner chair. (triple sixty closed)

Groomed snow much better than I expected -- firm but not icy. Bonzana face roped off -- superpipe still under contruct and closed -- but they've used the snow-makers to create huge piles for the terrain park.

Golden Nugget run has rocks in spots. Alpine run is rock free.

Beats going to the gym.

I was there Tuesday night. Man were there a lot of rocks on the run far to skier's right. That must be Golden Nugget.
The rest of the runs were fine though - a little icy in high-traffic areas, but otherwise pretty good.

did the night thing on wednesday up there and was pleasantly surprised. Tons of spindrift all over the sides of the runs, I did not see or hit any rocks all night long. It was fun beyond my expectations for sure!

By Saturday, Alpine had finally submitted to East Coast-style "hard pack" (icy) after holding out for a couple weeks. There were little pockets where the shaved-off snow collected, but when it's 17 degrees, that doesn't have a fighting chance against "Why don't we have a couple Jack and Cokes in front of the fire..."
