My eldest son Jeff is home from college for Thanksgiving -- so we go for a half-day even though it hasn't snowed and we know that boilerplate awaits us.

Anywhere in the shade it's bulletproof -- on the groomed is pretty smooth and easy. Off the groomed -- my Jeff described it "it's like getting a foot massage" from the vibration.

The Lucky Shot run has more sun softened areas -- but also more rocks to dodge than Green valley.

We did find some fun on the sun warmed slopes of "Northway ridge"

but returning to the chair requires picking our way through bare spots.

After last chair on Green Valley @ 3:30 we cruised over to Forest Queen for a last couple runs -- Downhill was groomed smooth and had a just a bit of sugar snow.
