What a difference a day can make here in the Pacific North-wet.

11/14/05 - Stevens Pass was nicly covered with 4-5 inches of new overnight. Well bonded to underlayers, no slides or sluffs. The groomed runs were smooth and the whole hill was uncrowded all day. Overcast first thing and getting a few blue holes by 11. There was a definite freezeline where the previous day's rain had turned to snow. (Per the lot gal, Sunday was pretty bad with rain that didn’t turn to snow until 4ish.) Most liftlines we were waiting for 2-3 chairs to load or less, so loads of fresh turns and first crosses all along the edges of the lower runs. Even found a boot-top deep zone. Empty slopes allowed some faster times on the runs. No Seventh Heaven, Tye mill or backside as they were understaffed. A nice kicker was the price break for having a Snoq's season pass: $36 all up. TomK & Kerry.
