Wow! That's some serious wind! Pretty cool to see you were above the clouds - we wondered how the visibility would be higher up for you. Those dogs behind you are great!
We've been using Deuter exclusively for 7-8 years now. Radka's day pack is the Guide 30+ SL and overnight is Guide Tour 35+ (she also has the Guide 40+ for climbing\hiking). I use the Guide...
We passed on the chutes, uncertain if the SW wind had kept it too cool and firm. Bummer! We skied Mazama Glacier instead, and had hero corn from 10k to 7400', then dirty corn to 6,800, before star...
We did Emmons this weekend. Here's the timeline of the rescue:Saturday night, after various flybys, 2 park rangers were dropped off at the Winthrop saddle then descended to the accident site.Sund...
Probably 30-40 folks were on the mountain Sunday. A good split between sliders and climbers.
Strong work!Someone might want to check on their crampon fit - the left foot attachment looks quite precarious!
Hey vogtski, thanks for sharing the alternative exit. That looks nicer! We plan to go back again sometime so it's good to know this option.Hey Charlie, the rust came from water damage - the skis...
Strong work! Not that surprising to see our skin track to the Elk-Obstruction saddle was gone - lots of wind activity there. Glad you got to re-use it elsewhere though!

Nice!
Hey Jerry, yeah I didn't want to ask our new friend to wait for us to converse since he was dropping us off at Obstruction Point Rd. Glad you found the goods on the N facing slopes!

Thanks for the info! We were very curious what ski patrol and all the artillery found.
The road is negotiable for low clearance vehicles. There are lots of big pot holes on the road so take it slow and drive around them. Only the last 9-10 miles are dirt.
Actually that's reversed. Ingalls Pass trail up and Esmeralda down. We split off the trail proper to Ingalls Pass ~500' below it and traversed N-NW towards Fortune. Once you gain the E Ri...
Nice work, Ryan!

Great place indeed! I think I see an Eric M hiding behind the goggles and hoodie in the first photo 8)
Who's the hot skier model? Can I get their #?
Forgot to check TAY after that trip... nice meeting up you on the trail Mike. We watched you ski down from Dragontail before we went up Witches :)
Very nice aurora capture! Great meeting you all on the mountain.-the guy Radka got her last name from
We approached via summer trail. I don't think anyone goes up Grouse Creek post winter\early spring, but don't quote me on that!
Very interesting. Thanks for sharing!
Great TR Amar! I had a strong feeling you would be doing Little T soon after reading our TR.I believe the solo women you met up there was Linsey!

Great photos and nice work! David is too cool tele'ing with shorts and shades 8)
Nice work! Downey Creek was pleasant last year. Sucks to hear it is full of blowdowns now - there's already plenty of that to be had along Bachelor Creek.
