A new month..time to get some skiing in!
Despite the bad snow year/warm spring, the Fryingpan glacier was looking healthy with much less blue ice showing than in previous July/August visits. There are a few cracks just starting to open but otherwise no open crevices on the way up to the high point of Whitman Crest.
While this is an enjoyable/reasonable day trip with a good amount of skiing, I miss skiing the Flett glacier(s) above Spray Park this time of year. I just hope the bridge situation gets figured out before it melts.
