Trip Report:  MRNP 2022.6.6:  Roger and I drove to paradise. The whole area was covered with extremely dense fog for the entire duration of our tour.  We skinned up to Golden gate, with the help of the tracks of previous climbers and skiers and the topo maps and GPS on Roger's cell phone.  Fortunately, the skiing was excellent. There were several inches of corn and mush on top of a firm base that was extremely forgiving.  We did three short runs down the slope below Golden Gate and then spend some time practicing with our new Tracker 4  avalanche beacons.  The snow pack at Paradise is very high for this time of year and I expect that there will be skiing at Mount Rainier in July (unless there is an intervening heatwave).

Thanks.   Yea, will be headed there.  Looks like higher up is doing well, mid-elevation not so with all the rain
