Here is a surprise. You can still ski from the base of the south ridge of Ingalls Peak all the way to Lake Ingalls. Its only about 800 feet, but it is as picturesque as any run out there, and it is fun because the route snakes around and you can only see portions at a time. You can always see the lake though! Aliwil and I day-tripped and made three short runs between Ingalls Pass and Ingalls Lake. All three were grand. The final one, closest to the pass, had the best snow.

Here is Ali skiing above Lake Ingalls. How do you beat this view!

One more:

We skied right to the water.

This area is popular because it is amazing. It was a weekday and we started fairly early. We had solitude until the end of our second run to the lake, when we were greeted by a cheering squad! After that, we had fairly regular, but not crowded, people contact.

Flowers are still out and amazing. The water is cold (I took a quick dip in the lake). Weather forecast looks sunny for the next few days. You should go make this ski! It is a totally worthwhile day trip.

Beautiful photos, looks fun.
