Tatoosh Castle Saddle
Good news ! Reflection lake /Stevens canyon road open to Snow/Bench Lake trailhead.
4-6ft of snow at road cut. 6" rough cut sun cups in lower woods. 2-3" sun cups in upper bowl.
1-2" boot pen provide easy walking ,good skinning and somewhat slow but still good skiing.
The usual north facing cornice has evaporated.
We were hampered by fog early on but later a north wind opened our view a bit.
Normally we ski out via the more open Sunbeam drainage but we opted for return our up track
thru the trees. Perhaps 6 cars with say a dozen folks up and about .

Thanks for the report. We could see the Tatoosh snowfields from Paradise lot while lower sections of Muir snowfield were socked in. Good to know the warm snow skied well...
