Snowking still has a nice corn topping, but a hard earn ... think ptarmigan traverse S exit dialed back a couple notches but add a pack w/boots/skis.  c2c, but would've been great to bivy up on SK's flanks had time permitted.  Straigtforward route w/good vis.  No crevasses open yet. easy cl 2 S scramble, or 3/4 cl from the E.

What is that wooden structure? Is that the bridge over the Cascade River? I haven't been there in over 30 years, so it's not familiar.

@lowell_skoog, nope there's a solid bridge across the Cascade river perfectly suitable for any vehicle.  the wooden bridge we crossed had its Western support beam collapsed but the span still intact though at a 30-40 degree angle forcing one to straddle the Eastern beam.  no big deal, but a neat feature of the trail.
