Toured around the Commonwealth Basin today, hitting up the Kendall Knob and also the shoulder of the Kendall Slide Path.  With new snow overnight hiding wind/storm slabs from yesterday we kept it conservative, mostly in the old growth trees.  Still managed a few steep lines thru the well spaced pines.  The 9 inches that fell yesterday afternoon/last night was super light and sat over the firmer consolidated 11 inches that fell Tuesday night.  Boot top to knee deep, and about as good as Cascade powder gets.  Some sluffage on steeper tree lines, but nothing was moving.  A bit of a crusty sound with turns down low, but nothing to interrupt the fun.  People are making good choices, as there were vast expanses of untracked powder on open slopes under the Kendall Peaks.
