Blewett Pass is Not where you go doing a snow drought. The last couple of weeks I’ve stayed away and let the trees fall...Was getting lazy, so I took an afternoon stroll with my skins on...They stayed on...The trails are hiking well in standard footwear, off piste was perfect for straight lines and kick turns. It was snowing in the afternoon as I left. I think its off my radar for a while. May try Kings Ridge Thursday if the storm over produces.

Yes, I had my electric chainsaw...

Upper Tronson

Seriously?  A saw strapped on your ski pack?  Photos please, that would be a PNW classic.

Is this up RD 7240?

I know this as the Upper Tronson Road. I’ll attach a map.

Lots of dead standing trees up there after the fires. Forest Service quit doing it. Our trails and runs would go to the wolves if we didn't keep up on it. Canadians in the Coast Range have done it forever. Things grow fast - then they fall over.

There is a facebook group Im a member of called the Tronson Trails ski team - or something like that. Work groups get formed. Ski posts made...

The down trees were where there is a big trail intersection. You can get everywhere from that spot.
