A quick note on Silver conditions.  FR9070 has mostly melted down low.  We were able to navigate through the snow patches without much difficulty until we parked about 1 mile from the PCT crossing.  There was initially some patchy snow beyond our parking spot, so we booted for half a mile and then hit solid snow and were on skis the rest of the say.  Ollalie meadows had excellent coverage, so we were able to cross west across it without encountering slide alder or many obstacles.  Good snow coverage all the way to the north bowl of Silver.  Silver Ridge was melted out more than usual for this time of year and the slope down to Annette Lake was mostly bare.  Overall, a great outing.
