Second half of December in the central cascades
HAPPY NEW YEAR, FRIENDS!!! May the powder be deep, the avy danger low, and your stoke high in 2021!
Was a tough month for skiing. After a great start in November, we had a kind of shitty start to December. Lots of weak layers or other instabilities or crust or just garbage coverage. We spent the first half of the month chasing ice for climbing, xc skiing, or trail running until the skiing shaped up. Well, it certainly did shape up, and the second half of the month was awesome. I even remembered to take pictures a bunch of days.
