A nice sunny day 8) with great views that made up for the crusts and in the trees the boilerplate with chicken heads.
A shame we did not find the hidden passage to alta mountain but the bailout was not too shaby - does this look familiar?

Ha! I'll be damned... we happened right onto it. Really needs more snow for that bottom to fill in though. But the icy trees were fun too, in a different way :)
I could finish by describing in detail the demoralizing beatdown dished up by Gold Creek on the way out, but I won't. Children might be reading. All I'll say is that it takes about the same amount of time to go in as it does to come out. By the time the three of us reached the car darkness had long since fallen. You've all been warned.
