Paradise Glacier - Rainier

Several of us camped at Rainier to get an early start on Thursday.  Skinned up to 9k on the Muir snowfield, with only the usual boot pack up Pan Face.   Then we dropped into the Paradise Glacier.  What a circus show though watching clueless folks in t-shirts and shorts bash down the glissade chute starting at the Pan Point bathroom.   Someone is sore today as they tumbled down like rag dolls.  In the short time we were there we watched folks get separated from their phones (while trying to film), sunglasses, thermos, hats, and a snowshoe.  

Snow was great, not many skiers or boarders and none on the Paradise Glacier side.  I think the cloud layer that moved in kept things from getting too sun baked.  A few open creek moats and avy debris at bottom of Paradise basin.   We skied back thru the Golden Gate and then to parking lot, avoiding families in sneakers.  Fun day.
