First month of my 25 months in a row that isn't in the PNW! I've recently moved to Calgary to do my PhD in avalanche research, so it is all a big learning experience for me out here. We were able to get some fantastic October turns in, with it being winter in the Rockies. It was about -5 C and snowing all day, with very light, dry powder. There's a good crust below the freshly fallen snow, which saves your bases for the most part. I won't go into the details of the area as I rarely see interior people on this site. My goal is to keep the streak alive though, over the next three years..
